As many of you know a few years ago we added to our consulting business a social media marketing agency.
Since then it has been such a ride. We couldn’t do this alone and along came several new team members. They helped us make the agency possible and successful.
Our team members live in very different places. Some in the US, some abroad. 4 of them live in the Philippines. As you also know some days ago the Philippines had some very bad typhoons. 3 of our members were in that path.
Just 2 days ago we were able to communicate with them. They are all alive as well as their families but had their homes destroyed or badly damaged. I learned that home insurance is not something most people there have because it is very expensive. I guess you know why. They have to rebuild everything with their own resources.
These people are extremely reliable, nice and important to us. We are very thankful for their help. We want to make sure they can go back to a normal, or close to normal life as soon as possible.
We are doing what we can but we need your help.
We decided to offer you our most popular program for 75% off.
This is a program that shows people how to create and run their own social media marketing agency. But this is not a program that serves only entrepreneurs thinking about opening their own agency.
This is a great program for business owners using social media, VAs and entrepreneurs that outsource and want to do this headache free. The audio on how to structure and work with out-of-site people is alone worth the investment. The classes on local marketing are also invaluable to any business trying to attract more customers.
You will also see how to use and manage YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. for maximum results.
The entire program is online and access is immediate. Even if you are very busy now getting your turkey ready for Thanksgiving you can get this program now, and go through it when you have the time. You have lifetime access.
There is a lot there for you to use in your business. We are only asking you to invest $197. Like I said, 75% off for the next 72 hours.
Here is the page where you can find more information and actually get the program:

You have 72 hours and we really appreciate your help!
In a computer-based simulation of a Mount Everest expedition, teams whose leaders had been induced to feel powerful (“Think about a time when you had power over someone”) achieved just 59% of their goals, in comparison with 76% by teams whose leaders hadn’t been induced to feel powerful, according Leigh Plunkett Tost of the University of Michigan, Francesca Gino of Harvard, and Richard P. Larrick of Duke. A feeling of power prompts leaders to verbally dominate, which gives the impression that they are less open to others’ ideas; this perception diminishes team performance. Organizations might be able to minimize this effect by maintaining an egalitarian culture, reminding leaders of subordinates’ importance, and encouraging employees to question the legitimacy of leaders who dominate social interactions, the researchers say.

Among US restaurants in March 2013, 80% used social media—17 percentage points higher than email, which was the next most popular choice. Social’s ubiquity is likely because it’s viewed as less expensive than traditional forms of marketing. Furthermore, 68% of restaurants said they monitored restaurant review sites, showing that keeping on top of customer feedback is considered to be part of marketing for many in the industry.
How Do I See Results When Marketing Online? This is the question we answer in this episode with Shahar. What are the things that make people act. This show is also available on Roku on the Buzz and Biz channel.
According to YouTube’s Statistics page:
♦ 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute.
♦ More US adults are reached by YouTube ages 18-34 than every other cable network.
♦ YouTube has more than 1 billion unique users visit every month.
1. Use what you’ve got: Use what you know… film what you already do.
2 Your Title is Everything: Not only does the name of the movie carry the most SEO value; it’s the single item of info most possible to earn (or lose) a click. In the Search Engine Optimization perspective, your title should contain as many of your keywords and keyword phrases as possible, while also showing compelling and organic.
3 Writing Your Description: Your video’s “description” is the text immediately beneath the title. Since this is what’s going to appear immediately under the title of your video when it pops up in search results, the start of your own description should be particularly concentrated on keywords. YouTube allows you to use up to 5,000 characters in your description, that is around 800 words. Do you want that many? Most likely not.
4 Making use of Tags: YouTube features a limit for tags. Make the most of ‘em! Produce at least 6-8 labels, using variations on your own film’s name, with phrases like “official trailer,” “HD trailer,” etc.
#5 Don’t Neglect the Visual: Custom Thumbnails:We often think about “search engine optimization” as interchangeable with “smart keyword use.” Not-so. Keyword usage is merely a single part of SEO. You have the choice of choosing custom thumbnails for the YouTube video, once you have a verified YouTube account.
# 6 Benefit from Closed Captioning: You don’t have to have a foreign movie to provide it closed captioning (CC). When you upload your picture trailer’s script, add closed captions. All they have to do is search for this line and Google/YouTube will recognize it in the CC info. Additionally, YouTube handles the CC/sound alignment for you, creating this attribute simpler than you might expect.
#7 You Have HD So Use It! You shot your picture in HD. You edited it in HD.

An apology for something beyond anyone’s control, such as the weather, has the effect of making others trust the apologizer, says a team led by Alison Wood Brooks of Harvard Business School. For example, when a young man approached strangers in a train station on a rainy day and said, “I’m so sorry about the rain! Can I borrow your phone?” he was successful 47% of the time, compared with just 9% if he simply asked to borrow a phone. Past studies have shown that when culpability for negative situations is ambiguous, people reward those who take blame more than those who express remorse.

The Great Recession partially reversed a decades-long trend among U.S. adolescents toward greater materialism and less concern for others, according to a study led by Heejung Park of UCLA that analyzed surveys from thousands of high-school seniors. For example, results from the 2008–2010 downturn, in comparison with the 2004–2006 period, showed a decline in the importance of owning expensive items such as new cars; meanwhile, the average view of the importance of having “a job that is worthwhile to society” rose from 3.15 to 3.21 on a 1-to-4 scale, and agreement with ‘‘I would be willing to eat less meat and more grains and vegetables, if it would help provide food for starving people’’ rose from 3.51 to 3.59 on a 1-to-5 scale. Past research has shown that a decline in economic wealth promotes collectivism.

Online retailers prove to be more popular than a variety of brick-and-mortar stores
Have holiday shoppers in the US shaken off their fears of economic uncertainty yet? An October report from Deloitte seems to think so. The professional services firm reports a rise in consumer confidence in 2013, and it expects those feelings will translate to higher spending around the holidays this year. And a lot of holiday purchases will be occurring online.
In fact, Deloitte reports that 47% of respondents expected to shop online this holiday season, making it the most popular shopping channel. In comparison, 44% thought they would shop at a discount or value department store, 28% expected to shop at a traditional department store, and 21% anticipated going to an electronics, office supply or computer store.
It’s well known that you get an advantage by making the first move in a price negotiation: If you’re the seller, for example, and you offer a price before the buyer does, a higher quote from you will lead to a significantly higher agreement price. But you can increase that advantage by stating your offer as a precise, rather than a round, number, says a team led by David D. Loschelder of Saarland University in Germany. In an experiment involving customers in an antique shop, when a 1910 oak writing desk from the Jugendstil period was offered for €1,185, the average agreement price was €1,046.19; if the opening offer was €1,200, the final price was just €929.50 (customers didn’t actually buy the secretaire; they were simply asked to settle on a price).
